Cranberry ‘Early Black’

The earliest and one of the most popular of Cranberries, cropping from late August. Cranberry ‘Early Black’ forms a spreading, evergreen bush that is suitable for borders with acid soils or containers filled with ericaceous compost. Bears large, dark red-purple fruit that is packed with Vitamin C. The berries can be eaten straight from the plant or made into cakes, juices and jams. As well as their edible fruits, Cranberries make attractive ornamental shrubs, with bell-shaped spring flowers and bronzed autumn foliage providing plenty of seasonal interest. Height and spread: 60cm (24in).
